(May 2024) BISHOPVILLE, SC. – EFP (Engineered Foam Packaging), a leader in the design and manufacturing of custom protective packaging and cold chain solutions, hosts a Grand Opening Ceremony today for their 6th location located in the Lee County Industrial Park in Bishopville, South Carolina. This marks the first EFP operation in the state of South Carolina and the Southeast part of the United States.
EFP brings a $15 million investment to the Bishopville community, creating over 30 jobs in the county and more to come. The facility houses manufacturing and distribution operations throughout the state and nearby states. With a 117,000 square foot building, EFP is positioned to grow exponentially well in this area.

EFP has had immense help from the local community to get the plant up and running in Spring 2024. With help from Burr & Forman, LLC. who completed all legal work in real estate and environmental and secured incentives and upfront grant money, Thompson Construction finishing construction and maintenance of the facility, to Carlisle Associates, Inc. who was an outstanding partner from initial contact going beyond their responsibilities, to the TheLINK Economic Development Alliance in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Commerce, Lee County, South Carolina Power Team, and Black River Electric Cooperative. Each of these hard-working teams played a part in the successful opening of the Bishopville plant.
